The Village came under the jurisdiction of the newly formed Chalakudy Taluk since 25 Jan 2014. Alathur is a small Village/hamlet in Mala Block in Thrissur District of Kerala State, India. It comes under Annammanada Panchayath. It belongs to Central Kerala Division . This Place is in the border of the Thrissur District and Ernakulam District.Althur Padam (paddy fields) is very famous in earlier days.
