About Village
Patyam Village is located on a lush green land under the jurisdiction of the Kottayam dynasty. The name Pattiam itself is said to have originated from the land of learners. Pattiam is a meeting place for many electricians, scholars and traditional healers. Vaghbhadanandan, a great personality who made invaluable contributions to the cultural history of Kerala and was the founder of the Kerala Atma Vidya Sangh, was born in Pattiam. It is also home to the Pullancherry House, one of the eight most famous Tantric families in Kerala.

Geography
Boundaries: East: Cheruvancheri, Mokeri, North: Kottayam, Kuthuparamba and Manantheri. West: Kathirur. South: Mokeri, Pathipalam river. The area of the village is 1334 sq. Km. Desoms in the village 188. East Kathirur, 189 Kongatta, 190 Pookot, 195 Patyam and 197 Muthiyanga.
Socio-Economic
Pattiam is rich in temples and shrines. Kongatta Sri Chakrapani Temple, Kothaloor Maha Vishnu Temple and Puthiyatheru Ganapati Temple are some of the important temples. Chirakkakavu, Kathirur Kavu, Parayi Kavu Muthappan Madappura, Konkachikavu Bhagavathy Temple, Ponnambath Madappura, Kuppiyattu Madappura, Anolikavu and Nullikandi Kavu Kongatta are the important Kavus. Thazhath Palli Juma Masjid and Meethale Muthiyanga Palli are the major mosques
Ecology
Pattiam is a hybrid of different terrains. One side of Muthiyanga land is full of hills and hills while the other side is fields. The Pazhassi Canal passes through Pattiam, Kongatta and Pookot. Most of the roads in Patna, which have many sidewalks and dirt roads, are now tarred roads.
