Kurampala village is located in Adoor Tehsil of Pathanamthitta district in Kerala. It is one among the two villages in Pandalam Municipality.

Demography

As per the Census India 2011, Kurampala village has population of 11934 of which 5429 are males and 6505 are females. The population of children between age 0-6 is 942 which is 7.89% of total population.The literacy rate of Kurampala village is 87.93% out of which 88.49% males are literate and 87.47% females are literate.

Geography

The village shares its border with Pandalam,Thumpamon,Pandalam Thekkekara and Peringanadu Villages.It includes more plain lands than hilly area.

Socio-Economic

The Village forms the major part of Pandalam municipal area.Most of the people in this village are farmers,employees in government and private sectors and there are NRIs also.

Ecology

This village consists of dry and wet lands.Climate is moderate,more or less the same as is prevalent elsewhere in Pathanamthitta district.

Tourism

Athiramala in this village is a proposed Tourist destination.Pandalam Ayyappa temple and Pandalam Palace are just 1.5 km away from Kurampala village office. The Chooral Adavi festival in Padayani of Puthenkavil devi temple which Is celebrated once in every 5 years is also a traditional attraction of this village.
