The village is situated in the Eastern border of Kerala alongside the Koduvayur - Meenakshipuram - Pollachi State Highway.

This village has an area of 4869 Hectors consisting mainly of Agricultural land irrigated by the Chittur Puzha project.
Geography
This is a plane land region . Chittur Puzha - otherwise known as Sokanasini or Amaravathi borders the northern side of this village.
Socio-Economic
Agriculture is the main livelihood of the people. Toddy tapping is carried out in a large scale. This village is one of the major supplier of toddy in the state.
Ecology
Moolathara regulator - a mini dam constructed in the river ,controls natural water resources in the region . There is scope for developing a water park in this region.
Tourism
The main Celebration is the one month long Festival of RAMAR PANNAI temple. Thousands of devotees from nearby areas and Interior Tamil Nadu visit the temple during the festival.
