About Village

Pallippad is a village near Haripad and it is one of the oldest and largest of Karthikappally Taluk,Alappuzha District in Kerala State. The famous river Achankovil passesby the eastern portion of this Village.The village has abundant water resources.Pallipad is surrounded by very famous temples,churches,and a famous mosque and famous for its religious harmony.The traditions,culture and rituals are the extensions of the nearby town Haripad.Traditionally Pallippad was considered as the rice bowl of Travancore kingdom.

Most part of theland is wet paddy fields.Achankovil river helps to irrigate agricultural land all the year round Northern boundary Harpad and Veeyapuram Village,Estern boundary Thripperunthura,Chennithala Villages Southern boundary lies Cheppad Village and western boundary National highway 66,Chingoli,Karthikappally and Haripad villages. Total Area : 1698 hectare

Most of the people are farmers,cattle rearing poultry farming fishing etcalso here,Most part of the people coming under APL, Priority Bpl stands the second and about 20 percent people under General category.Mullavakulangara Padanilam,Karimpalil koyickal palace ,Gandhismaraka library,St george Simhasana palli,Muttom Juma masjid.. have historical importance

The village has abundant water resources,small lakes ,PIP CANALS,and water paths that connected to Alappuzha water ways Vast Puncha paddy fields, also mundakan paddy fields exists here,Coconuts, arecanuts ,vegetable gardens, pond fish rearing fields are seen everywhere

There is vast scope of water tourism possible here, but any kind of tourist centres not working here except a few boat races in Onam days.
