Melmuri village is located in Tirur Taluk of Malappuram district in Kerala.The village comes under Marakkara panchayat. Melmuri villages comes under Kottakkal assembly and Ponnani parliamentary constituency, Tirur is nearest town to Melmuri which is approximately 16 km away

Kadampuzha Bhagavathi Temple: Kadampuzha Bhagavathi Temple is a Hindu temple and Pilgrimage center at Kadampuzha, Melmuri village in Malappuram district, Kerala, India under the control of Devaswom Board. The main deity of this temple is Goddess Parvati/ Durga in the form of huntress.
