About Village

The Payyanad village plays its role in indian freedom movement by the great Chakkiparamban Variam kunnath kunjahmed haji and Erikunnan Ali musliyar. The duo who led the 1921 rebellion against British raj and fudels belong to Nellikunnu in Payyanad village. The monument of Ali Musliar still stands as the pride of patriots.

Demography

Payyanad village is a predominantly Muslim populated area. Hindus exist in comparatively smaller numbers. So the culture of the locality is based upon Muslim traditions

Geography

The office is located at kacherippady , pandikkad in Ernad Taluk. The office is housed in a one-storey government building. Working hours start from 10am to 5pm.

Socio-Economic

It is an agricultural area with a large Muslim population. Rubber, squash and paddy are the major crops. The expatriate sector also strengthens the economic status of the country.
