Parappa Village Office was formed in 1994 as per GO(MS) No.438/93/RD dated 18.01.1994 .Earlier part of Belur,Thayannur,Balal and Kinanur villages having 4022.16 hectors extent situated in Kinanur Karinthalam Panchayath of Kasaragod District.
Demography
Parappa is a large village located in Vellarikundu Taluk of Kasaragod district, Kerala with total 3463 families residing. The Parappa village has population of 14137 of which 6834 are males while 7303 are females as per Population Census 2011.
Geography
Major part of village are hill tract areas.It includes vested forest and reserve forest.
Socio-Economic
Scheduled tribes sections are predominantly includes in Parappa village.Main tribes are Malavettuan and Mavilan.Hindhu,Christian and Muslim believers living unitedly in village.Most of the people are migrants from Southern districts.Main income is from agriculture.
