The main business centre is at Katameri Road. Demography

Ayancheri is a Census Town city situated in Vadakara taluka of Kozhikode district. As per the Population Census 2011, there are total 5,864 families residing in the Ayancheri city. The total population of Ayancheri is 26,293 out of which 12,372 are males and 13,921 are females thus the Average Sex Ratio of Ayancheri is 1,125. The population of Children of age 0-6 years in Ayancheri city is 3083 which is 12% of the total population. There are 1598 male children and 1485 female children between the age 0-6 years. Thus as per the Census 2011 the Child Sex Ratio of Ayancheri is 929 which is less than Average Sex Ratio (1,125). As per the Census 2011, the literacy rate of Ayancheri is 94%. Thus Ayancheri has lower literacy rate compared to 95.1% of Kozhikode district. The male literacy rate is 96.93% and the female literacy rate is 91.51% in Ayancheri.

Ayancheri is a Village in Thodannur Block in Kozhikode District of Kerala State, India. It belongs to North Kerala Division . It is located 48 KM towards North from District head quarters Kozhikode. 4 KM from Thodannur. 439 KM from State capital Thiruvananthapuram
