About Village

It is a village in Mallappally Taluk of Pathanamthitta District.Mallappally village office is located about 32 kilometers from District head quarters and 800meter east of the mallappally taluk headquarters on the bank of Manimala river on the side of Mallappally_kozhancherry road.Thirumalida Mahadeva Temple is located 200meter east of the village office.According to the resurvey there are two blocks 28&29.Total Area is 2018H20Ars94Sqm.

Demography

According to 2011 census of India, Total Mallappally population is 134,219 people are living in this Taluk, of which 63,748 are male and 70,471 are female. Population of Mallappally in 2020 is 161,063 Literate people are 120,446 out of 57,042 are male and 63,404 are female.

Geography

Most of the area is hilly with a midland climate. The Manimala River flows through the heart of the town and divides it into Mallappally West and Mallappally East. Mallappally taluk shares border with Kottayam district at Nedungadappally along a river stream named Panayambala Thodu.

Socio-Economic

The sources of income in Mallappally village are agriculture, trade and foreign income .Also a mini industrial estate is located here.

Ecology

The village is bordered with hilly area . The main tributary of the Manimala river passes through this village .The main portion of the village is paddy field and rubber trees. All types of vegetable cultivation and crops , coconut, tapioca etc are doing here.
