Kavumbhagom village is located in Thiruvalla Taluk of Pathanamthitta district in Kerala, India. It is situated 2km away from Taluk headquarter Thiruvalla and 35km away from district headquarter Pathanamthitta. Kavumbhagom village Consists the part of Peringara Grama Panchayath and Thiruvalla Municipality. The total area of village is 1001.7292 hectares. Kavumbhagom villages comes under Thiruvalla assembly & Pathanamthitta parliamentary constituency. Thiruvalla is nearest town to Kavumbhagom which is approximately 2km away. Ezhinjillam, Perumthuruthy, Alamthuruthy, Vengal, Azhiyidathuchira, Kizhakkumury are the places in Kavumbhagom village.

Geography

The eastern and southern part of the Village is mostly high plain. Most of the part of the village is low lying paddy field below sea level.There are many features and contradictions in the landscape and climate of the region

Most of the people in this village depend on agriculture. Paddy cultivation is the main source of income for the people. Currently, one crop is grown annually. Pushpagiri College of Dental Sciences is situated in Perumthuruthy, Kavumbhagom Village.

Ecology

Kavumbhagom village is situated in Upper Kuttanad region and has the karappadam type of soil, which is clay in texture, has high organic matter. It is situated in areas about 1–2 m above sea level.

There are many paddy fields in this village and they are beautiful sight seeing spots.
