Purameri is located in Vatakara Taluk of Kozhikode district. It shares borders with Nadapuram to the east, Edacheri to the west, Thuneri to the south and Mayyazhipuzha to the north.

Purameri is a village situated in Vadakara taluka of Kozhikode district in Kerala. As per the Population Census 2011, there are total 6,185 families residing in the village Purameri. The total population of Purameri is 27,612 out of which 12,743 are males and 14,869 are females thus the Average Sex Ratio of Purameri is 1,167. The population of Children of age 0-6 years in Purameri village is 3235 which is 12% of the total population. There are 1650 male children and 1585 female children between the age 0-6 years. Thus as per the Census 2011 the Child Sex Ratio of Purameri is 961 which is less than Average Sex Ratio (1,167) of Purameri village. As per the Census 2011, the literacy rate of Purameri is 93.1%. Purameri is a Village in Thuneri Block in Kozhikode District of Kerala State, India. It belongs to North Kerala Division . It is located 56 KM towards North from District head quarters Kozhikode. 7 KM from Thuneri. 447 KM from State capital Thiruvananthapuram
