About Village
Earlier this land was under Poomulli mana janmam and Kavalappara mooppil nayar janmam. After Land Reforms Act the above land was given to the concerned kudiyan of the respective janmi (landlord). This place is famous for Astrologist as popularly known as the Padur Panikkars. The name Kavassery is known to be derived from the “Kavu” of the very famous Durga Temple Parakkattu kavu.
