Othukungal village is a village in Tirurangadi taluk in Malappuram district. It belongs to North Kerala division. The village office located near the kottakkal-malappuram road at Othukkungal and it is towards the Panakkad road. It is near to Othukkungal panchayath office. Total area of the village is 1730.30 Hectares. The village share boundaries with Kadalundi river in the north, Parappur and Kottakkal villages in the west, Ponmula and Kottakal villages in the south and Ponmula village in the east. Panjayath office, PHC, Homeo dispensary, Veterinary dispensary and Krishi bhavan are the main government offices in the village.

As per the 2011 Census, total population of village is 34882 with male population of 16821 and female population of 18061. Islam is the major religion followed by hindus and Christians.
