About Village

Chembilode village office is one of the two villages under chembilode grama panchayath in kannur district. It is located near the Edakkad block office in chala town. The kadamkot makkam bhagavathi Temple, where the historically famous makkam and her children are worshipped, and the only christian church in the chembilode panchayath built during the British rule are located close to the village office.The present village Office Building was constructed in the year 2000.

The population was 17,081 at the 2011 Census.

Geography

Includes many fields and wastelands. The western side of the village is a stream.

Socio-Economic

Within the limits of the village office, People of various religion and medium economic status live. Most of them work in the Beedi, Weaving and Agricultural sectors.

Ecology

Chembilode Village is located 8km from Kannur town on Kannur-Kuthuparamba Wayanad state Highway. It shares borders with Kadambur, Mavilayi, Iriveri, Chelora, and Edakkad villages. Chala kizhakkekkara, Chembilode, Koyyode and Thannada are the four desoms. Area of the Village is 929.823 hecters.
