It is located 13 KM towards South from District head quarters Kannur. 9 KM from Edakkad. 471 KM from State capital Thiruvananthapuram.This village is renowned for its 5 km long pristine Muzhappilangad beach. Dharmadam island (Pacha Thuruth) is visible from here and Anjarakandy river enters in Arabian sea near this place.

Tourism

Muzhappilangad Drive-in Beach is a beach on the Malabar Coast in the state of Kerala in southwestern India. It is located parallel to National Highway 66 between Kannur and Thalassery.
