Kudakkallu

The "kudakkallu" is a kind of megalithic monument found in the state. The "kudakallus" are burial sites in which the corpse is buried and curvilinear blocks are installed on the ground with a hollow space in between. An umbrella-shaped block is kept atop. In the case of "thoppikallu" (hood stone), the umbrella-shaped rock is placed on the ground.

Munimada

Munimada mirrors the lifestyle of ancient rishis. The time and effort taken to build this wonder is beyond imagination. It is a cluster of small caves where rishis used to live and meditate in the ancient past. One can get down to the rock-cut caves taking stairs (made of rock) from the surface and enter the caves underneath. Cots and tables made of rock are found inside these caves which are believed to be used by the saints who lived here.
