Thalavoor village is one of oldest villages in kerala, located in Pathanapuram Taluk of Kollam district. It shares borders with pattazhy, pidavoor, vilakkudy, melila and mylom villages. Thalavoor village office situated on the right side of thalavoor dvhss jn to railway gate (njarakkadu) road from the pattazhy - kunnikkode main road.

Thalavoor is a large village located in Pathanapuram Taluka of Kollam district, Kerala with total 6489 families residing. The Thalavoor village has population of 24385 of which 11459 are males while 12926 are females as per Population Census 2011. In Thalavoor village population of children with age 0-6 is 2156 which makes up 8.84 % of total population of village.
