Kedavur village is located in Thamarassery taluk of kozhikode district in Kerala,India.The total geographical area of village 3130 hectares.The village shares its boundary with Kattippara and Thamarassery panchayaths.

Demography

As of 2011 India census, Kedavur had a population of 27273 with 13336 males and 13937 females.

Geography

Kedavur village is situated in the eastern area of the district. It is covered with small mountains of lush greenery, bonded with several freshwater streams flowing through the village.

Socio-Economic

Kedavur is an agricultural area, Coconut and rubber are the major products. Economy depends significantly on emigrants working in foreign countries, mainly in the Arab states of the Persian Gulf.

Ecology

The village has a generally humid climate with a very hot season extending from March to May. The rainy season is during the South West Monsoon, which sets in the first week of June and extends up to September. The North East Monsoon extends from the second half of October through November. The average annual rainfall is 3,266 millimetres or 129 inches. The best weather is found in towards the end of the year, in December and January – the skies are clear, and the air is crisp.
