About Village
Idamalakkudy is a remote tribal village between the Idamalayar reserve forest and Mankulam forest division. The Muthuvans are the only type of people living in Idamalakkudy. Muthu means back and van means one who carries weight on the back. The language of Muthuvan tribals is not malayalam but a dialect closely related to Tamil.
