About Village

Thekkumbhagam village Office is a part of Nadama Thekkumbhagam group village. The Nadama Thekkumbhagam Village Office was officially inaugurated on Saturday, August 15, 1981 at 5.30 pm by the then Minister of State for Home Affairs, Mr. PC Chacko, chaired by the then Minister of State for Home Affairs, Mr. TK Ramakrishnan. Resurvey implemented in Thekkumbhagam village on 1.10. 2016. The famous RLV College of Fine Arts and Culture and Govt. College are situated in Thekkumbhagam village.

Demography

Thripunithura has a total population of 92,522. Out of which Thekkumbhagam village is ihaving a population of 27552. Males constitute 49% of the population and females 51%. Thripunithura has an average literacy rate of 94.34%, higher than the national average of 71.5%: male literacy is 97.37%, and female literacy is 91.52%.

Geography

Located in North Nadama village area, South Udayamperoor Panchayath, West Maradu Municipality and in East Kureekkad village which is a part of Chottanikkara Panchayath and Thiruvankulam area which is part of Thripunithura Municipality.

People are earned their means mainly by Fishing , Trade and Commerce in Thekkumbhagam area.

Thripunithura is famous for its many ancient shrines of various religions. The Attachamaya Parade is a popular festival that attracts both local and foreign tourists. Thripunithura is home to many ancient palaces and temples of the Kochi dynasty.
