Chilanthi Temple - Kodumon is famous for the Chilanthi temple situated 1.5 km east of Kodumon junction. The temple is dedicated to the Goddess (Palliara Devi). People from all over Kerala and India throng this place to offering prayers for treatment of spider poisoning and related insect bites. Kodumon is the birth place of famous Sanskrit dramatist Sakthibhadran ,between 7th and 11th centuries.He was the author of ASCHARYACHOODAMANI ,the first Sanskrit drama from South India,who is the contemporary of Sankaracharaya, Kodumon Vaikundapuram temple is one of the important temples in Kodumon village. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Puthankavil Devi Temple, Choorakkunnil malanada temple are other important temples. St. George Orthodox Church, Chandanapally or Chandanapally Valiyapalli is one of the biggest churches in South India,is located at a distance of 4 Km from Kodumon Town. Chembaduppu Nercha- picking of copper vessel - is a special ritual.This festival held on 7 and 8 May,every year.
