Malampuzha Dam is the largest reservoir in Kerala it is the first large scale irrigation system attempted in Kerala State. It is a Dam constructed across the river malampuzha a tributary of bharathapuzha. Malampuzha irrigation project is a network of Canal systems that irrigates over 21245 hectares of land.
