Amarambalam is a forest village near Nilambur town and conjoins Silent Valley National Park. It is situated in Pookotumpadam town, under Amarambalam Grama Panchayath limit. . It belongs to North Kerala Division. Amarambalam village is located 44 KM towards East from District head quarters Malappuram and 366 KM from State capital, Thiruvananthapuram. It was earlier a part of Kalikavu Farka.
