Intrenational AirPort :Trivandrum International Airport is an international airport which serves the city of Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, India. Established in 1932, it is the first airport in the state of Kerala. It is the fifth international airport of India officially declared by then Prime Minister of India The western side of the village is bounded by Arabian Sea. Parvathi Puthanar, the man-made canal constructed in the 18th century runs through this village, it was named after the Rani Parvathi Bai,who was the reigning Queen of Travancore during the time it was created. Domestic Airport : Situated near Shangumugham Beach. Trivandrum Airforce Base :FWM7+PM3, Shangumukham, Kannanthura, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala 695008, the military area of Southern Air Command of the Indian AirForce is situated near Shanghumugham Beach. Shangumugam coast: Shankumugham Beach is a beach in Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala, south India. shangumugham beach-Shankumugham Beach is a beach in Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala, south India. The beach is on the western side of Thiruvananthapuram and very near to Trivandrum International Airport. It is considered as the Arattukadavu of Sri.Ananthapadmanabhan, the presiding diety of the city. Thousands of Hindus perform Balitharpanam during special occasions.It is the prime location for Ganesh Nirmarjan at the time of Vinayaka Chathurthi. The sculpture of Sagarakanyaka-Mermaid by Kanayi Kunhiraman is an added attraction to Shanghumugham.The giant statue is more than 35 meters long. The Jawaharlal Nehru Park of Traffic signs for children is situated here which is helpful for the children to understand the traffic rules whiile playing in the park. Shanghumugham Beach is shrinking by the day, as the sea is continually pressed inland by a combination of climate-related and man-made causes. The military area of Southern Air Command of the Indian AirForce is situated near Shanghumugham Beach.
