Morayur is one of the largest villages in Kondotty taluk. It is located at 14 KM North - west from District head quarters Malappuram and 7 km from Kondotty town. The history of Morayur has connection with Zamorin Kingdom of Kozhikode.Total area of of Morayur village is 2452.8653 hrs

Ecology

Arimbra Hills or Mini Ooty is a tourist spot in Morayur village, Malappuram district, Kerala, India. It is at a height of 475 meter above sea level. The place attracts large number of visitors for its rolling hills and scenic views. The location got the nickname as it resembles Ooty, one of the famous hill stations in India. There are many stone crushers and plantations atop the hill. There is an old Harijan Colony on the western side of the hill.
