About Village

Kanjirappally, centuries old settlement in Kottayam District, is synonymous for Rubber based economy of the state. Once built by affluent planters, became a hub of all Rubber related activities including value added products.It has a proud history of freedom fighters, politicians, planters, businessmen and academicians. Legendary people like Rosamma Punnoose and Akkamma Cherian who shed their blood, sweat and tears to the freedom struggle of India, belong to this place. Sahridaya Library and Reading Room is one of the oldest of its kind in erstwhile Travancore. Pazhayapally, Ganapathiyar Kovil and Nainar Masjid are the most important and oldest religious centers.

According to 2011 Census, Kanjirappally has a population of 32580 . Even though the primary occupation is agriculture, a large number of people are engaged in businesses too.
