Demography

As per 2011 census, the total population of Yakkara Village is 22897. Of these, 11231 are males and 11666 are females

Geography

The total Geographical area of ​​Yakkara Village Office is 5462.44 hectares. The Yakkara Village Office is located in the Palakkad Legislative Assembly constituency and Palakkad Parliamentary constituency. The Yakkara Village Office is located near the Headquarters Taluk Office and also near to the Office of the Joint Commissioner of Goods and Services Tax.

Socio-Economic

Majority of the people are engaged in Paddy cultivation for their livelihood and the remaining residents are engaged in business and employment

Yakkara enjoys moderate climate. The Village has many paddy fields that are well irrigated by Malampuzha Irrigation Project.

Major tourist attraction in our village is Palakkad Fort, Vatika Park near to Palakkad Fort. Worship places are Manapulli bhagavathy temple in East Yakkara, S. V. Temple in West Yakkara, and Manjakulam Mosque.
