Ittiva village extends in the southern portion of Ittiva gramapanchayath in Kottarakara Taluk, Kollam District with an area of 2018.1210 hectors. The village office is situated in Vayyanam.

As per census 2011, Ittiva village had a population of 17270 with 7989 male and 9281 female. Literacy rate of the village is 83.55 percentage.

Geography

Ittiva village shares the boundary of Kottukkal, Kadakkal, Chadayamangalam and Chithara villages in Kottarakara Taluk and Alayamon and Channappetta villages in Punalur Taluk. Village office is 7 km from Ayur and 24 km from Taluk headquarters.

Socio-Economic

Agriculture is the primary source of livelihood of the majority of population. Dairying and rubber plantation related works also supports the economic needs of the people.

Ecology

The soil of the terrain is suitable for cultivation and we can see rubber plantations in almost all parts of the village.
