Oachira is an ancient temple town located 32 km away from Kollam city in Karunagappally taluk, Kollam district in Kerala, India. Oachira is one of the famous sacred places of Kerala and in India.

Geography
Oachira is on the border of Kollam and Alappuzha Districts, next to the National Highway 66 (NH 66) and 32 km away from disrtict headquarters Kollam . Oachira lies 3.05 m above sea level. This region is situated in the coastal region which constitutes a significant part of the physiography of Kerala. The common geographies of this region are Sand ridges and plains, with sand ridges taking up almost 75% of the total area.

The inhabitants are working at various workplaces irrespective of caste, sex and are living with good standard of living and are having mixed economic and financial background. Commercial/ trade oriented shops are working at this village.

Oachira is a very ancient pilgrimage center that is centered on the ParaBrahma Temple (that is dedicated to the Para Brahman (or Param Brahman) or Ohmkaram, the Universal Consciousness), which covers thirty-six acres of land. Oachira North Muslim Masjid is another historical monument near Oachira town.
