Pirayiri village is located in Palakkad taluk of Palakkad district in the state of kerala.The nearest police station is Palakkad town north police station and the nearest railway station is Palakkad junction(Olavakkode).


According to 2011 census Pirayiri has a total population of 41000 people out of which 20800 are females and 20200 are males. There are about 8100 houses in Pirayiri Village.


The total geographical area of Pirayiri village is 1871 hectares. Pirayiri village comes under Palakkad assembly constituency and Palakkad parliament constituency. Palakkad is the nearest town which is approximately 4 kms away. Pirayiri Village is bordered by kannadi river and Kalpathy river which are tributeries of Barathapuzha.


Pirayiri Village is a rural area mainly characterised by agriculture and allied activities. The majority of the people are farmers and daily labourers.
