Udumbanchola is a Village in udumbanchola taluk in Idukki District of Kerala State which came into existence from 11/08/1897


According to 2011 census Total Population of udumbanchola village is 17056 with 8328 males and 8728 females.


It has a hilly terrain with a cool climate and is situated 14 km away from sub-district headquarter Nedumkandam and 53 km away from District headquarter Painavu and mostly surrounded by Cardamom Plantation. It shares border with Theni District of Tamilnadu.


Various sections of Christianity, Hinduism and Muslims co-exist harmoniously. Income is mainly from Tourism and Cardamom Plantation.
