About Village

Chuzhali village is situalted in Chengalayi Grama Panchayath and its name was given in memory with Goddess of Chuzhali bhagavathi. Most of the land is rocky in nature. This village consists of 4 Desoms namely Chuzhali (2 Desoms) Kolathur and Neduvalur.Kolathur desom is not still re surveyed. Chuzhali Govt. Higher secondary school is very near by institution Various religions and cultures are existing in the village. Famous Jenmi tharavads of Nambiar families are there in the village. Lot of Devaswam properties ,and old entities still prevailing in this village

Total population in Chuzhali village is around 16000 and male population is 7950 and female population is 8040. Most of the people belongs to Hindu . Muslims are the second largest population.

Geography

Most of the lands in Chuzhali village are rocky plane lands. Paddy is cultivated in a very few area. Rubber coconut, cashew, arecanut are other crops cultivated in this village. Laterite mining is a large industry in this village.

The main income source of people is agriculture and dependent laboures.Small businesses are also helps to meet their livelihood. They are politically streamed. Hindus Christians and Muslims live in harmony
