About Village
Kayyar Group Village Office consists of two Villages. Namely Kayyar Village and Kudalmerkala Village. The Office is situated at Mailukallu junction in Bandiyod -Permude Road . This is about 9 Kms east from Bandiyod (NH66) junction.

As per the data of Census 2011 the total population of this group Village is 11,349.
Geography
Major portion of this group Village is rocky area and hilly terrain. Kayyar Village shares boundaries with Kudalmerkala, Heroor, Ichilangod, Kubanur, Bekur,Meenja, Paivalike Villages.
Socio-Economic
People are mainly engaged in agricultural activities and trade.
Ecology
Most part of the village area are hilly terrain. There are several hillocks in Kudalmerkala Village (one of the group Village) and they are locally known as "Gumpe".
Tourism
The Posadi Gumpe Hill Station (Bayar Village) is situated about 9 kms north east from Kayyar Group Village Office. The low lands of Posadi Gumpe in western side and southern sides fall in Kudalmerkala Village. A small water fall is situated at Neerpanthi nearby Subbayyakatte of Kudalmerkala Village.
