Sheni Village is situated in Enmakaje Grama Panchayath in Kasaragod District of Kerala State, India. It is located 24 KM towards East from District headquarters Kasaragod. Enmakaje, Neerchal, Badiadka are the surrounding Villages of Sheni Village

As per Census 2011 Sheni village has a total population of 5080 of which 2514 are males and 2566 females.

Geography

Sheni village is located in Manjeshwaram Taluk of Kasaragod district. It is situated 24 Km away from Kasaragod town and 20 km from Kumbla and 7 km from Perla Town. Total geographical area of village is 3482.92 Acre. West - Badoor Village, East - Enmakaje Village, North - Badoor and Enmakaje Village, South - Mugu , Neerchal and Badiadka Village

Socio-Economic

Agriculture is the main means of livelihood of the people. Most of the people speak Malayalam, Tulu and Kannada. Konkani and marati speaking people also lives in small numbers.

Sheni village is hill tract and River bound area

Tourism

The Village was famous for Peacocks. Since large number of peacocks were found in these areas, the land was popularly known as the land of Mayoora. Means land of Peacocks. The land attracts tourists.
