Geography
Thiruvampady village is situated in the eastern area of the district .it is covered with mountains of lush greenery , bounded with several fresh water streams following through the village . Thiruvambady is 35 KM from Kozhikode city and is on the banks of Iruvanhipuzha River which is the major tributary of Chaliyar. The village is surrounded by mountains valleys and water falls.
Socio-Economic
Thiruvampady is an agricultural area coconut, rubber ,ginger,arecanut and Jathi are major cultivating corps,economy depends significantly on emigrants working in foreign countries mainly middle east and Europe.
Ecology
The village has a generally humid climate with a very hot season from march to may . the rainy season is during the south west monsoon which sets in the first week of june and extend upto September. The north east monsoon extents from the second half of October through November.

Thiruvampady village is a beautiful place filled with mountains, valleys and water falls.Famous water falls are Arippara and Pathankayam . Muthappanpuzha, Marippuzha and Urumi are major tourist place . Secred Heart church Thiruvambady, Bathaniya Retreat Center Pulloorampara, Elenjikkal Devi Temple Thambalamanna, and Thiyyaru Thattekkattu Mosque Thiruvambady are the major worship places in the village.
