Maradu village is located in Kanayannur taluk, Ernakulam district in Kerala, India. It is located at 7 km from the city center. NH 85, NH 966 B and NH 66 passes through Maradu and it has played a vital role in the development of the village. Maradu is well connected by waterways also. Maradu is known for the famous Maradu Vedikkettu in Maradu Temple. The nearest airport is Willingdon Island Airbase and the nearest railway station is Ernakulam South railway station

The famous festivals in Maradu village are theThalappoli Maholsavam in Marattil Kottaram Bhagavathy Kshethram, the festival of kavadi in Sree Subrahmanya Swami temple, fetival in Nettur Juma Masjid and the death anniversary celebration of the saintly priest Vakayilachan.
