About Village

Madayi Village is a part of Payyanur Taluk and consists of three desams namely Madayi, Vengara and Puthiyangadi. The Arabian Sea and the Chempalli River share a border. The Village Office Building is located on the property of the Ezhome Village. The Madai Village Office is located in its own building on the Eripuram KSTP Road, about 1 km from the Pazhayangadi Railway Station.

Demography

The population of the village is 63% Muslim, 32% Hindu and 5% Christian. The total population is 35888.

Geography

The vast area, which includes the Madayi para is rich in biodiversity. Madayi is an area of beaches, rivers, fields and hills.

Socio-Economic

It is a land of tolerance for people of all faiths.There are famous temples and churches. There are a lot of fishermen. Puthiyangadi Harbor is a major trading center. Trade and coconut cultivation are other important sources of income.

Ecology

Madayipara is a well-known biodiversity hotspot.

Tourism

Chootad Beach and Madayipara are the major tourist attractions. The temples of Madayi Kavu and Vadukunda Shiva Temple are also famous.
