Important place in independent movement and place of martyres. Korom Sree Chenankavu Bhagavathi Temple (Temple of goddess Bhagavathi at Korom) is a small but exquisite temple in the center of this village. Korom Ayyappan Kavu is a shrine for lord Ayyappa, situated at North-East of the village. The village also has two Catholic churches; St. Lucy Convent (Religious Teachers Filippini, of the Italian St. Lucy Filippini) and Christ the King Church (a mission of St. Joseph’s Church, Punchakkad).

The village is renowned for the famous Hindu temple, Chenankavu Bhagavathi Temple where the Goddess Bhagavathi is enshrined and attracts a number of Bhagavathi devotees. Village also have Muchilottu Kavu, a Hindu shrine where some of the most famous Theyyam performances are being held annually. Another famous theyyam performance of Korom is at Sree Koormba Kavu which is celebrated annually.
