Kadannappalli Village situates in Kadannappalli-Panapuzha Grama Panchath. It has an extent of 1808.86 H. Kannur Govt. Medical College Pariyaram and Pariyaram Govt.Ayurveda Medical College situates in the limit of Kadannappalli Village. The first ever Theyyam museum in Kerala is being set up in Chandappura the head quarters of Kadannappalli Village. The famous politicians Kadannappalli Ramachandran and K C Venupopal are the native of Kadannappalli Village

Demography

Population of Viilage asper 2011 census is 10430. Out of this 4848 males and 5582 females. Sex ratio is 1151. Total 2606 houses are in this Village. Literacy rate is 93.27%

Geography

Kadannappalli Village lies between 12.068546, 12.109566 northern latitude and 75.269774, 75.312303 eastern longitude with an extent of 18.08 Sq. Kilo Meters. It is neighboring with Cheruthaham Pariyaram, Panapuzha and Korom Villages. Vannathipuzha, a small part of Perumba River, is the main water resource of the village.

Socio-Economic

People here are well educated . Most of them got at least secondary level education. Literacy rate is 93.27 % . Main livelihood of this region is based on primary sector. introduction of new generation banking facility and setting up of Medical College and Ayurveda Medical College and cooperative sector establishments made and emergence of service sector. Industrial sector has no major role in this area. Hindu Muslim Christian communities can be seen here . But no history of communal violence.

Ecology

Climate Kadannappalli experiences a very wet tropical monsoon climate. As other places in the district this region also getting most of the rain fall from south west monsoon. During summer season ie. In the months of April and May average daily temperature hikes up to 35 degree celcius. Flora and fauna There is no forest area falls under the limit of Kadannappalli. Eventhough thr region is very rich in its flora and fauna. Flora Some of common flora in this region includes Anjuli, Murikk,Mangifera Indica, Teak, Bamboo, Palm, Golden shower e.t.c. With many more species of trees and grass this area has a dense cover. Fauna Like flora fauna is also rich in this area. Mammals Fox, Porcupine, common palm civet, Squirrel, Mangoose, Rabbits are the commonly seen mammals of this area. Rarely wild boars are also seen in the bush lands. Birds Common crow, King fisher, wood pecker, owl, jungle fowl, myna,, bulbul, parakeets are commonly seen. Peacocks and peahens are also seen rarely. Reptiles Commonly seen reptiles are Cobra, Viper, Krait, Python, and Rat snake. Python and Rat snake are non venomous Monitor lizard is one another commonly seen creature in this region

Tourism

Theyyam the ritual art of malabar region is the one of the most attraction of Kadannappali. Froth coming Theyyam museum will be a mile stone in the field of tourism. A river view park is being set up at Chandappura in the bank of Vannathipuzha. There is a scope for Vannathipuzha river cruise during mosoon season
