Kuruva village is located in Perinthalmanna Tehsil of Malappuram district in Kerala, India. It is situated 10km away from sub-district headquarter Perinthalmanna and 9km away from district headquarter Malappuram. Kuruva village is also a gram panchayath.

As per the Census India 2011, Kuruva village has population of 24859 of which 12056 are males and 12803 are females. The population of children between age 0-6 is 3456 which is 13.9% of total population.

The total geographical area of village is 3102 hectares. Kuruva village shares boundary with East - Vadakkangara ,Moorkkanadu,and Puzhakkattiri Villages, West-Kodur and Ponmala Villages, South-Edayoor,Marakkara and Moorkkanadu villages, North-Vadakkangara ,Kootilangadi and ,Kodur villages.

Agriculture is the main source of livelihood, Majority of people dependent with agriculture. Paddy and watermelon are the major crops in the village. Some small scale industries are also found in the village.
