Geography
One of the main features is trivenisangamam .The kothayar meets with kaliyar at perumattomkara and flows towards west and join with thodupuzhayar at kavumpady and flows as muvattupuzhayar.It is an aesthetic place.
Socio-Economic
Velloorkunnam Village consists of midlands and highlands with agriculture and small-scale industries as its primary economic base. It was an important commercial centre and a prominent town until about 1975.
Ecology
The main highlights of the village is the presence of wetlands ,small hilly areas, paddy fields, and inland water bodies. Most of the areas are highly populated. After 2010 a drastic change has occurred in the climate of the region as droughts and flood. All the four seasons in India are experienced in this region also

Velloorkunnam Village has a rich cultural tradition and included many tourist places. Kaliyar (Kali river), Thodupuzhayar (Thodupuzha river) and Kothayar (Kothamangalam river) merge at Trivenysangamam and become Muvattupuzha river in Kerala.
