This village formed by bifurcating Thiruvalla village vide Govt order No G O ( M S ) 142/85 RD dated 12/12/1985 published in Gazette No . 16 dated 16.4.1985. It is situated 3km away from Taluk headquarters Thiruvalla and 34km away from district headquarters Pathanamthitta. Kuttapuzha village lies in 21 wards of Thiruvalla Municipality. The total area of village is 1417.233 hectares.
