VillageOffice Nadavayal started functioning on 28/05/1985. The Offie is inaugurated by then Revenue Minister Sri.P J Joseph. Nadavayal is one of the ancient migration centre in Wayanad. Majority of them were from Kottayam district. The renowned author and activist Sri. K J Baby - founder of Kanavu-an alternative system of education for tribal people , Sri. A.C Varkey(late) -founder of Farmers Relief Forum, Rt,Rev. Mar George Njaralakkatt-Arch Bishop SyroMalabar Churuch are from Nadavayal. Nadvayal is a fertile land of Art, Literature, sports and agriculture.Everything above earth is cultivated in Nadavayal.More than 18 tribal settlement are there in Nadavayal.
Demography
People from different walks of life are living here peacefully. Population consist of Hindu ,Muslim and Christian religion .More than 18 Tribal Settlements are there in Nadavayal Village. Of them settlements like Madaparambu, Chullipura, Basavakolly are in the inner hearts of reserve forest.

The area of village is spread over 4 Panchayaths viz Pulpally, Poothadi, Panamaram and Kaniyampetta and Three Assembley constituencies -Sulthan Bathery, Mananthavady and Kalpetta. The Latitude and Longitude are 11.740371and 76.118386 respectively.More than 1678 hectares of land in Nadavayal Village is Reserve Forest. Agriculture is the main source of occupation. Everything above earth,ie,Pepper,coffee, arecanut, coconut,coco,Rubber,Ginger, Paddy, cardamam, vanila,Wayanadan Turmeric,Yem, Cloves, Nut berg etc.. are cultivated by the workforce of Nadavayal.

There is no specific tourism points in the village, the ancient Stone Temple(Kallambalam) under Archeological survey of India ,situated near Punchavayal is a landmark in the village . Likewise a ride through the reserve Forest from Kolarttukunnu to Madaprambu (tribal settlement in forest) will surely a memorable experience .
