Thamarakulam village located in Bharanicavu Block in Alappuzha District of Kerala State, Extending upto an area of 2121.54.49 Hectares .It comes under Thamarakulam Panchayath. It is located 61 KM towards South from District head quarters Alappuzha and 18 KM from mavelikara taluk head quarters. Thamarakulam area was under the naduvazhi rule during the 16 th to 19 th century "moothedathu pillamar" an offshoot of Kayamkulam Raja ruled the area during this time.
