Thiruvalla village comprises of a total area of 802.88.59.hec. and includes ward numbers 14,18,19,20,21.22,23.24,25,27,33,34,35, and 36 of thiruvalla municipality fully and some parts of ward numbers 13,32and 39 are are also included . Has a population of around 22000 as of census 2011. Males constitute 48%of the population and females 52%.
Geography
Thiruvalla lies at an altitude of 9 mts above sea level on the basin of river Pampa and Manimala and is dotted with several natural canal streams like chanthathodu, manippuzha thodu, mulleli thodu and several others. The city area has an alluvial soil , eastern parts are southern midlands and western parts form parts of upper kuttanad and is situated about 1-2mts above sea level.

Thiruvalla is regarded as the land of Non resident Indians. Also considerd as the commercial and financial capital of Central Travancore due to its vibrant economic acitvity. Age group of above 60 makes almost 54%of the towns population.It is the Head Quarters of the Malankara Marthoma Syrian Church. there are two major Medical Colleges in and around Thiruvalla and various other educational institutions

Thiruvalla lies on the banks of the river Pampa and Manimala surrounded by irrigating streams and rivers. The climate of Thiruvalla is classified as tropical. There is significant rainfall in most months of the year. The average temperature of the town is 27 *c .Thiruvalla has a distinctively tropical yet pleasing climate. Thiruvalla is also a place which is highly affected by the 2018 flood.
Tourism
Thiruvalla is the destination point for the famous Sabarimala temple, Sree Vallabha temple which is famous for Kathakali which is hosted almost every day of the year, Parumala church, and Chakkulathu Kavu.
