Vellarvalli is a village in Peravoor panchayat, Iritty taluk. Vellarvalli is a village which shares borders with Manathana, Tolambra, Kolayad, Vekkalam, Muzhakkunnu, Kanichar and Kannavam villages. The Vellarvalli Village Office is located at the foothills of Puralimala, the legendary land where the battle of King Pazhassi took place. Vellarvalli Village consists of 5 Blocks namely Vellarvalli, Thiruvonapram, Thondiyil, Kunithala and Kottumanga.


As per the Census India 2011, Vellarvelly village has population of 29328 of which 14438 are males and 14890 are females. The population of children between age 0-6 is 3180 which is 10.84% of total population. The sex-ratio of Vellarvelly village is around 1031 compared to 1084 which is average of Kerala state.
