Edakkazhiyoor is a place in Punnayur Panchayat at Thrissur district in the state of Kerala, India.In 1930 the first Karshaka Sammelan was held at Kuranjiyoor Ambala Nada and the first political drama in Malayalam Patta Baki was staged. The conference was attended by EMS and AKG.

This is the largest nesting site for olive ridley turtles in Kerala, with most nesting on the 6km coastline spanning Edakkazhiyur, Panchavadi.
