It is located on the Thodupuzha Erattupetta road, 1 km from Melukavmattam, near the Chalamattam junction. The Melukavu Police Station and the CSI East Kerala Diocese Bishops House are located close to this village.

Geography

Melukavu Village is located in Melukavu Grama Panchayat. Most of the land is covered with mountains and cliffs and is a favorite destination for nature lovers and tourists alike. In the hills are Christian churches built during the time of Rev. Henry Baker Jr.

Although a section of the population is socially, economically and educationally advanced, the majority depend on agriculture for their livelihood.
