Total Area of village is 1009 H 54 Ares 28 Sqm. There are two blocks in the village viz Block No 17 and 18. Panmana village is located 18km north of district headquartes Kollam. The famous social reformer Chattambi Swamikal attained samadhi (died) at Panmana.

Panmana village is located a distance of nearly 18km north of district headquartes, Kollam. Northern side -Vadakkumthala village Eastern Side- Vadakkumthala and Thevalakkara villages Western Side- Arabian Sea. Southern side- Chavara Village. Panmana Village is a Sea Shore village and rich in minerals. Kerala Minerals and Metals Limited ( KMML), a public Sector undertaking (Exploring Titanium and other mineral related products), Titanium Sponge Plant are situated at this Village. T S Canal ( Thiruvananthapuram - Shoranur Canal) , a state water way project, passing through this village.
Socio-Economic
The inhabitants are working at various workplaces irrespective of caste, sex and are living with good standard of living and are having mixed economic and financial background. Commercial/ trade oriented shops are working at this village. Most of the people are related to Hindu and Muslim community and living with unity and harmony.
Ecology
Various types of agricultural products are cultivating. Coconut, tapioca, plantain, Papaya are main agricultural crops.

T S Canal ( Thiruvananthapuram - Shoranur Canal) , a state water way project, passing through this village. Vattakkayal ( a small lake) is an important tourism place also situated. Kattil Mekkathil Temple, Panmana Subrahmanya temple, are religious places. T S Canal, Vattakkayal , Sea shore, Kattil Mekkathil Temple all are attracted by number of tourists thorughout the year.
